These LocalRun Jobs Terms apply when you post a job (“Poster”) or take a job as a pro (“Pro”) on LocalRun Jobs, a service operated by . When you check “I agree to the LocalRun Jobs terms,” you accept these terms along with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. What LocalRun Jobs is
LocalRun Jobs is a local board where people post tasks — pickups, mowing, hauling, tree work, plumbing, electrical, and more — and local pros take them or send quotes. LocalRun provides the board, messaging, and payments. Pros are independent contractors, not LocalRun employees, and LocalRun does not perform the work.
2. Pay through LocalRun only
- All payment for a job found on LocalRun goes through LocalRun. Posters must not pay, and Pros must not ask for, cash or outside payment.
- Posters pay up front by card. Payment is held by LocalRun and released to the Pro when the Poster approves the finished work — or automatically after the review window shown in the app (currently 48 hours after the Pro marks the job done) if no problem is reported.
- Posters pay a service fee shown before they pay. LocalRun keeps a fee from each job’s price, shown to the Pro before they take it. Pros are paid through Stripe and handle their own taxes (1099).
3. Cancellations, problems, and refunds
- If a job is cancelled before work starts, the Poster gets a full refund.
- If something goes wrong, report a problem in the app before the review window ends. LocalRun reviews disputes and may release, partly refund, or fully refund the payment based on the job details, messages, and photos.
4. Pro responsibilities
- Only take jobs you’re qualified, licensed, and insured to do, and follow local codes and permits. Jobs in licensed trades only go to Pros whose license LocalRun has checked.
- Show up when you say. Dropping booked jobs or no-shows can pause your account.
- Add honest “done” notes and photos.
- You choose which jobs to take and how to do them, and you provide your own tools and equipment.
5. Poster responsibilities
- Describe the job honestly, including anything hazardous, and make sure you have the right to have the work done at the location.
- Review finished work promptly and report problems in the app.
6. Safety and conduct
Be respectful and safe. Harassment, damage, fraud, or attempts to take payment outside LocalRun can end your account. Ratings go both ways and must be honest.
7. Liability
The Poster and Pro are responsible for the job and how it is done. LocalRun is not a party to the work and, to the fullest extent allowed by law, is not liable for the quality of the work, damage, or injury arising from a job. LocalRun’s total liability for any job is limited to the fees LocalRun earned on that job. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
